Animal scooters business offers family fun
“A family that plays together stays together” is the motto for a unique business that has launched in Bermuda.
Zoomables, which offers a new kind of approach to family fun and entertainment is now available to the public.
The mobile business provides motorised, battery-operated animal scooters that individuals can rent for the day with a minimum of 2 hours.
Zoomables caters to parties, events or those who just want something different to do with the family. The scooters are safe for children to ride and have a weight limit of 250 pounds.
The motorised animals are operated by a push of a button, making them easy to be controlled and manipulated with a speed of 60 metres per minute.
Owners Chrisanthi Bartley and Sekai Waldron are a couple who decided to start this unique business as they saw a niche in the market.
“It is always a niche when families are involved,” Ms Bartley said. “When you can combine both the young and the old, you have a win-win situation.”
The inspiration to start the business came from travelling overseas during a family vacation.
Ms Bartley mentioned that during the travels her family explore new fun activities to engage in and last year they stumbled upon the animal scooters.
That’s when they decided Bermuda could benefit from this kind of service as they believe the island lacks a variety of fairs, community events and functions catering to family fun entertainment.
“It clicked last year that the animals scooters would be a great addition to our local community,” she added.
Ms Bartley describes the business as a unique experience that is first of its kind on the island.
The animals are available by request, Monday to Sunday.
