The Department of ICT Policy and Innovation is advising that nominations are now being accepted for Bermuda’s Annual TechAwards.

The deadline for nomination submissions is 26th October, 2018.

Interested persons are encouraged to visit www.techawards.bm to nominate individuals in four specific categories:

1. International Innovation of the Year;

2. Local Innovation of the Year;

3. Most Innovative Youth Product of the Year; and

4. New Mobile Application of the Year.

Today the Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Caines, JP, MP, said, “Since 2007, the Department of ICT Policy and Innovation has recognised the best in Bermudian innovation and e-commerce with the TechAwards. Bermuda is leading innovation in more ways than one. And as Bermuda continues to position itself towards becoming a leader in the fintech space, programmes such as the TechAwards help to strengthen our tech friendly reputation. We encourage everyone who is aware of a product or tool to submit their nomination so we can recognise Bermuda’s best creative minds.”

Each nomination will be assessed by the TechAwards Committee. Nominations that meet the appropriate criteria will be submitted to a panel of judges who may interview the qualified nominees.

The top five finishers in each category will be recognised during the Awards Presentations in November.
