Downed lines have closed North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish.

It is understood that the wires were knocked down by a truck that clipped them.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said that the road is closed in both directions near Callen Glen Drive.

He said at 10.50am: “It could be a while before the roadway is cleared.”

Crews from Belco, Digicel and One Communications are on scene.

Motorists are advised to used Harrington Sound Road as an alternate route.
