The second event of the cross-country series will take place tomorrow when West End Athletics Club host races at Chaplin Bay.

Five races are scheduled in the series ahead of the national championships on December 8 at Clearwater. The third event will take place on October 27 at Fort Scaur, hosted by Mid Atlantic Athletic Club.

�We had a very successful first event at the Arboretum and are looking forward to an even greater turnout as some of the athletes were competing at the Carifta Triathlon Games,� said Donna Raynor, president of the Bermuda National Athletics Association, referring to the recent Games in Tobago when 20 junior athletes represented Bermuda.

Online registration for tomorrow�s cross-country races is available at www.trackiereg.com. Entry fee is $10 and $15 for the national championships. Races get under way at 8.30am with the younger age groups.

There will be series winners in age group, a point system with points from each race and the top three in each age group awarded prizes. A separate champion in each age group will be awarded at the national championships.
